Unfortunately, Google Drive does not have a 'bulk folder creation' function.
Therefore, if you need to create multiple folders, you must manually create them one at a time.
Creating a few folders, say 2 or 3, using the standard folder creation function may not be too laborious, but when you need to create a large number of folders, it can become quite a task.
For instance, the following scenarios can become a tedious task:
- When generating folders for different periods within Google Drive (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.)
- When creating separate folders for each employee
- When generating folders for each customer
Due to the monotonous and input-intensive nature of this task, human errors such as input mistakes are likely to occur. Given that this task cannot be performed at once based on Google Sheets or CSV data, it is definitely a task that should be automated.
However, automation requires programming knowledge, which can be a high hurdle for non-programmers.
That's why GAS LAB has developed a tool that even non-programmers can easily use, which allows you to 'bulk create multiple new folders in Google Drive'!
Google Drive Bulk Folder Creator
This tool allows you to bulk create new folders in Google Drive.
Anyone who can use Excel can list the names of the new folders they want to create in 'Google Sheets' and bulk create them.
Furthermore, you can pre-specify which folder to store the newly created folders in (destination folder), allowing you to organize your folders simultaneously.
Additionally, this tool has a function to output a list of all folders in Google Drive. This function allows you to list all folders in Google Drive and output a list of folder names, folder IDs, and folder URLs to a Google Sheets.

1. Enables bulk creation of new Google Drive folders with any name of your choice!

How to Use the Google Drive Bulk Folder Creator
1.Copy the tool file (Google Sheets)
2.Click ‘Update folder list’ from the ‘Menu’ in the toolbar
3.Set up the folder information you want to create in the “List” sheet
4.Click “Generate new folders” from the “Menu”
5.Complete!
